The first edition of Vancouver Opera Festival is a celebration of the vocal and theatrical arts. At its core, three new productions: a seldom performed masterpiece, a beloved classic, and a contemporary tour de force.

The Vancouver Opera Festival Program has everything you need to to know about the Festival including a full calendar of events.

James McCracken and Victoria Vergara in VO’s 1983’s production of Carmen

VOF is opera through many lenses: a choral extravaganza, a cutting edge commissioned video art installation, performances by international stars, and much more.

Marilyn Horne, Audrey Glass, and Ken Remo in VO's 1968 production of the Barber of Seville

The inaugural Vancouver Opera Festival is also choral evenings, panel discussions, interactive conversations, master classes, and opportunities to observe emerging artists work with established ones on their craft.

Placido Domingo in VO's 1968 production of Tosca
