Vancouver Opera in Schools presents a 45-minute production written for elementary school audiences. On tour February and March 2018 in metro Vancouver.
When Professor Hornsby is stung by a poisonous scorpion, his students must find the cure hidden in ancient hieroglyphics in the Lost Temple of Isis. In an effort to save their professor, the students use Isis's ancient wisdom and learn the power of forgiveness. The Scorpion’s Sting is a 45-minute production featuring singers from the Yulanda M Faris Young Artists Program. Written for elementary school audiences, the production is accompanied by a study guide that reflects the new BC curriculum. Lessons and activities build connections between the students and the performance from the lens of the arts and humanities.
The Scorpion's Sting is on tour in February and March 2018 in Metro Vancouver for a performance fee of $750. This production is also available for community presenters. For more information contact Courtney Dugan by email email@example.com, by phone at 604.331.4835, or by filling out the form below.
